The Center for Law, Science & Innovation (LSI) is hosting the Spring 2019 Blockchain Speaker Series on the law and policy of blockchain technology. This speaker series will hone in on promising and controversial applications for blockchain technology. Energy policy, healthcare, smart contracts, and your very identity are set to be revolutionized by this technology.

LSI will host a new panel of speakers every third Wednesday of the month throughout the Spring. These panels will feature blockchain industry leaders, policy experts, legal practitioners and more.

January 16: Blockchain and Energy Policy
February 20: Smart Contracts, Real Estate, and Supply Chain
March 20: Blockchain and Healthcare
April 17: Privacy and Identity

The Blockchain Speaker Series panels will discuss new blockchain applications across a range of industries, as well as business and regulatory efforts to grapple with, and ultimately govern this emerging technology.

These events are a product of the ASU Law Blockchain Interest Group, headed by Professor and Faculty Director Gary Marchant, which brings together law students, attorneys, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to build and share expertise in blockchain technology and the rapidly changing law and policy environment.
