The inaugural Derechos y Esperanza Labor & Employment Conference: Empowering Low-Wage Workers is a multidisciplinary gathering of advocates, attorneys, academics, and labor leaders focused on advancing worker justice. Held September 24–25, the conference will feature nationally recognized speakers including David Seligman, Ruben Garcia, Veena Dubal, Jennifer Abruzzo, Noreen Farrell, and Monica Ramirez with sessions addressing labor trafficking, labor organizing, wage theft, agricultural and domestic workers, AI’s impact on low-wage labor, and sexual harassment of immigrant and low-wage workers.
