Dr. Frutos-Peterson’s practice focuses on arbitration, international law and international investment law, where she works primarily with governments and state entities. She has represented foreign states in investor-state arbitrations under the arbitration rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). She has also acted for private companies in international commercial arbitration under the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Dr. Frutos-Peterson has acted as an arbitrator under the ICC Arbitration Rules, the ICDR Arbitration Rules and the Rules of the Centro de Conciliación y Arbitraje (CeCAP) of Panama. She has also been appointed to the List of Arbitrators of ICSID, CeCAP, AmCham-Peru, and the Centro de Conciliación y Arbitraje de Bogotá (CCB). While at ICSID from 2001 to 2009, Dr. Frutos-Peterson served as Secretary of Tribunals in numerous arbitral proceedings brought under the ICSID Convention and the ICSID Additional Facility Mechanism, based on bilateral and multilateral investment treaties.
