Specialising in public/regulatory, environmental and human rights law, Jessica’s wide-ranging practice has seen her involved in ground-breaking cases, including acting as lead counsel in Klimaseniorinnen, the first case in the European Court of Human Rights (“ECHR”) in which it was held that states are required to take measures to mitigate climate change as part of their human rights obligations. Jessica has acted in numerous cases in the UK Supreme Court, the European Court of Justice and the ECHR. Her clients include Governments, large companies, regulators, NGOs, as well as private individuals. She is the original author and now Consultant Editor of Sweet and Maxwell’s looseleaf: Human Rights Practice, is a Bencher at Middle Temple and Visiting Professor at LSE and Goldsmiths, London.
