Arne Fuchs is a partner based in the Frankfurt office of McDermott Will & Emery and global co-chair of the firm’s International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution group. He served as a member of the DIS Rules Revision Committee, advising on the 2018 DIS Arbitration Rules. He is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association.

Arne has extensive experience advising clients in highly complex international commercial arbitrations and investment treaty arbitrations. He has experience with disputes conducted under most major institutional rules (including DIS, ICC, LCIA, HKIAC and SCAI Rules), the ICSID Convention, UNCITRAL ad hoc rules, as well as with pure ad hoc arbitration. 

In addition to his role as counsel, Arne is also acting as (sole) arbitrator. He is a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (FMIArb) and is included on the list of arbitrators of the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA) as well as the Panel of Arbitrators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC).

Arne is admitted to the German Bar. He is a native level German and English speaker, speaks fluent French and reads Spanish.
