Martina Polasek is Deputy Secretary-General for the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). She joined ICSID in September 2001. Previously, she worked as an attorney with the law firms of Jeantet & Associés in Paris, France (1997 – 1998) and White & Case LLP in Prague, Czech Republic (1998 – 2001).

She holds degrees from The George Washington University Law School (LL.M.), University of Paris V – René Descartes (D.E.S.S.) and University of Gothenburg (Master of Laws). She is admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C., and speaks English, French, Czech and Swedish.
