Navajo Nation Law 2016 CLE Conference

This conference will offer a survey of legal issues in employment law, professional responsibility, financing transactions, Navajo and Federal case law updates, as well as an examination of the Treaty of 1868, the federal assimilation policy and the Navajo jury system. It is ideal training for tribal court advocates, tribal court practitioners, tribal court prosecutors, tribal court defenders, tribal council members, Indian law attorneys and attorneys practicing on and near the Navajo Nation Reservation, tribal liaisons, government legislators, Navajo Nation Bar members, law students, as well as teachers/professors and students of American Indian studies.

 – Navajo Nation Bar Association has approved this conference for 8 CLE credits including 2 hours Navajo Ethics or Navajo Law

– New Mexico MCLE has approved this conference for 6.5 general credits and 1 Ethics

– State Bar of Arizona does not approve CLE activities however this activity may qualify for up to 8 credit hours, including 2 credit hours for Professional Responsibility

– California MCLE 8 general credits, including 1 Legal Ethics Credit
