We are thrilled to announce the 2026 GETS Student Poster Session, a competition open to all college students! During the session, students will stand by their posters to share insights, answer questions and discuss their work with attendees, while a small panel of judges will evaluate the posters and select winners. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your research or ideas, plus, the top presenters will have a chance to win monetary prizes!

Eligibility

  • All degree-seeking students of any level and discipline may participate
  • Topics: Any topic relating to the governance of emerging technologies is eligible, even if that topic is not part of the conference program.
  • No written paper is required or expected.
  • Participants are not required to be present to win prizes, though we highly encourage students to attend to present their work.

How to participate

  • Register for the Student Poster Session using the code “STUDENT2026”
  • Create your poster (details will be shared via email)
  • Submit your poster via email to Daniel Drane III by Monday, May 18, 2026.
  • Present your poster at the GETS Reception on May 21st, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. (subject to change)
  • Setup time: 4:30 p.m.

Additional information

  • All poster presenters will receive free registration to the conference
  • We will print the poster for you at no cost
  • The poster session is a fun and relaxed way to showcase your work and network with experts in the field
  • Please note: travel and accommodation costs are not covered, but we provide free registration for students presenting posters
